The 2009 Rally Australia was from the 3rd to the 6th of September. On the road, the result was Sebastien Loeb winning from Mikko Hirvonen with Dani Sordo third. However, all of the Citroens got one minute penalties for anti-rollbar irregularities. This was the first rally since Rally Norway that Petter Solberg did not take part in his Citroen Xsara.
